AMG provides pre–construction, construction management, general contracting, and general engineering services to the private and public works markets. AMG serves as the management for large construction projects, bringing together the skills and experience of a variety of other companies and individuals (including various consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other parties) to complete the work required on each project in a timely and cost-efficient manner. As a general contractor, the services offered by AMG include but are not limited to:
- Pre–Construction Services
AMG provides pre-construction related services that consist of working with designers, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure that projects are being designed in an appealing and cost effective manner. The time to review and keep projects within real budgets is to perform quality estimates. AMG estimating services offers a wealth of experience, knowledge and subcontractor resources to reflect accurate pricing for our estimates. This effort will ensure that the project is within a realistic budget prior to bidding.
- Construction Management Services
AMG provides construction management services that work directly for owners and developers on construction related projects. AMG maintains the necessary project controls by working with the contractor and their subcontractors to ensure that the project is maintaining the project schedule and budgets from the pre-construction services through the occupancy of the facility. AMG personnel have the experience, knowledge, and expertise to manage each project by utilizing the necessary accounting, scheduling, and documentation controls.
AMG has developed excellent relationships with its subcontractors throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona. Our subcontractors provide competitive pricing to AMG because of the cooperative working relationships. For subcontracts that exceed $250K, AMG usually requires the subcontractor to provide a payment and performance bond. This protection is for AMG and the owner of the project.
AMG will begin all scheduling tasks immediately upon award of each contract. Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules are developed utilizing Primavera P.3 or SureTrack software allowing for the incorporating of all necessary resources, materials and equipment. These tools help to provide an on-time and successful project. AMG also incorporates its budgetary data into the CPM’s in order to streamline the monthly pay application procedure. CPM’s are updated monthly at a minimum to insure that the project schedules are maintained. Short-Interval-Schedules (SIS) are also utilized each week to facilitate the management and scheduling of all necessary elements needed for a successful project.
- Reporting to Owner
At least once a week, there will be a site visit by a principal of AMG. Together with the owner, the principal will review the progress of the work, perform a budget analysis, address any outstanding issues, and evaluate the overall impact the current progress may have on the overall schedule. During the site visitation, AMG will also meet with its project team to review the prior week’s executive management site inspection report.
