At the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Meeting held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010, AMG & Associates was awarded the contract $3,872,000 for the construction of the New Fire Station 156 located 24505 Copper Hill Drive, Santa Clarita, CA. The New Fire Station 156 is approximately 11,000 square feet and is designed to receive a LEED Silver Certification under the U.S Green Building Council LEED program. Albert Giacomazzi, President of AMG & Associates stated: “This will be our 3rd fire station that we will have constructed over the past two years. We renovated the Piru Fire Station for the County of Ventura and we are nearing completion of the Seal Beach Fire Station, which is finishing one and a half months ahead of schedule. We are looking forward to working with the County of Los Angeles on this much needed fire station for the Santa Clarita Valley, which has been hit hard with fires in the recent past. Additionally, we will be utilizing many local subcontractors that need work for their businesses during these challenging economic times.” Tony Traverso, Vice President will be the project manager for AMG & Associates and Jeff Koons is our Superintendent for the project. Construction is expected to start March 1, 2010.
